Summer 2021

Our summer internship program will run from June 14th to July 30th. Interns will work 40 hours a week. Many of our interns join the MAP squad on a permanent basis after graduation.


Working closely with the Audit & Assurance team, responsibilities are likely, but not limited, to include the following:

Audit & Assurance
  • Assist engagement teams in clearly and accurately documenting and executing audit procedures as defined by engagement objectives.
  • Help ensure that the information stream from the client to the audit team is well-organized and efficient.
  • Complete assigned projects within engagement timelines and budget guidelines.
  • Plan, organize, and prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and corporations.
  • Prepare tax work papers.
  • Learn about current tax law, how to stay up-to-date on changes and how these changes affect tax compliance work.
Communication & Teamwork
  • Proactively communicate status of work and raise potential issues with Associates and Managers.
  • Participate in MAP team events such as training, team quizzes, Happy Hour, and possibly a community event e.g. last year we held a blood drive and cleaned up a local beach.


  • Bachelor’s in Accounting student in your junior or senior year.
  • GPA minimum 3.2.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and budgets.

Job Description

We have an opening for a qualified, exceptional Tax Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity in a growing firm for the right individual interested in advancing to Partner. Key responsibilities include:

  • Review federal and multi-state returns and projections for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
  • Through firm-sponsored and self-directed training, stay current on tax law and other research in order to ensure the proper identification and resolution of complex tax issues; communicate findings to colleagues
  • Lead teams, provide feedback, and mentor individuals in order to ensure excellent work product
  • Communicate status to partners and maintain positive relationships with client
  • Ensure utmost client trust in team
  • Advise client on tax planning and income tax issues
  • Assist staff in work-flow and project management

Qualifications & Required Experience

  • Active CPA license required, Masters of Taxation preferred
  • 8+ years recent experience with a CPA firm
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and budgets
  • Ability to mentor staff and seniors, assist in the supervision of the tax department
  • Ability to recognize, evaluate and communicate potential tax risks and planning opportunities
  • Oversee all aspects of Individual, Partnership, Corporate, Trust and Estate issues
  • Review returns and research complex tax matters
  • Provide consulting and compliance work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with CCH Axcess/Tax is a big plus


Job Description

The Tax Senior is responsible for the preparation of a full range of tax services for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with the tax managers and partners to plan and manage multiple client engagements while understanding clients’ goals and needs
  • Preparing complex income tax returns including Corporate, S-Corp., partnership, and individual clients
  • Maintaining active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, make sure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively
  • Ensuring quality of work product and communicating progress to managers and partners
  • Assisting, supervising and mentoring junior team members

Qualifications & Required Experience

  • Bachelors in Accounting or Business with a strong emphasis in accounting
  • 3+ years recent experience with a CPA firm
  • Tax preparation experience of privately held companies and high net worth individuals
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and budgets
  • Proven track record of proactively pursuing professional development activities
