Martini Akpovi Partners has made an on-going commitment to offer scholarships to California State University of Northridge (CSUN) accounting students. This year three students received an award of $1,000.
One of the students is SangHyun Lee, a Professional Accountancy student in his senior year. SangHyun moved to America twelve years ago from South Korea and has worked a wide variety of part-time jobs throughout high school and college. This summer he will undertake an internship in the tax department at Deloitte and he plans to work as a tax accountant after graduation.
SangHyun has especially enjoyed his Capstone project at CSUN as he developed a business strategy for the start-up firm, Madame Lemy deodorant. While working as the Vice President’s Assistant in a produce company in Hawaii he became interested in agriculture and running his own business. In the future he would like to own his own agriculture company which produces locally in Hawaii and provides less expensive local people in Hawaii.
